The scenarios I see that explain that are ;

The basic legal/ethical problem as I understand it (and that’s not well at all, mind; I just watch lots of cop shows) is proving that removing food and water isn’t torture, and doesn’t violate the medical personnel’s Hippocratic oaths and/or put them in legal jeopardy.

“Who is paying the bills?”

I’ll clarify. Very often, when someone is put on life support, the outcome is not yet known. The hope is, of course, that the person will recover. But once the person is on life support, unringing that bell can be legally, morally, ethically, and logistically a challenge. It’s one thing to choose not to use

That has been argued as cruel and unusual in many courts: death by starvation/dehydration is nasty, prolonged, and painful, and med staff aren’t allowed to provide a quick and merciful overdose (that’s considered manslaughter at the least.)

I’m just gonna leave this here:

I’m not sure that should be your first question.

Yeah, more likely more space for multiplayer activities.

Maybe. GTA V had none, and it's like the most popular game ever.

At risk of sounding like I am defending the scum that steal packages I’m pretty sure this is assault with plenty of case law establishing that you can not booby trap packages that you expect to be stolen.

It’s *supposed* to be slow. You have to savor and lose yourself in the world around you, the detail and immersiveness of it all.

But that’s the thing: it is part of the US. It’s a territory, and thus not an actual state; but its residents are United States citizens, it’s subject to federal law, and the island is protected by American armed forces.  When you get off the plane in San Juan, you’re standing on US soil.

David Cross got away with that joke because people in Yi’s shoes deal with that everyday and historically have had one option and that’s to just let it slide, because they’re the minority of people. I don’t know what ethnicity you are, but I am white, and my wife is black, and I can tell you two things:
1. White guys

Hey, I genuinely appreciate this explanation—I knew a lot of the ideas of third-wave feminism just from cultural osmosis and reading and talking to others, but didn’t know the history behind it all. Thanks for taking the time to type this all out and making an attempt to engage/inform even though that asshole just

That wasn’t a cut and paste, it was a sincere attempt to introduce/discuss an important social/intellectual movement. Why would you be snide and dismissive about that?

Lol what an obnoxious douche you are

Third-wave feminism developed in the late 80s/90s as a synthesis between second-wave feminism (the movement in the 60s and 70s) and its critiques. One defining feature is the concept of “intersectionality”, coined by a writer named Kimberle Williams Crenshaw in 1989. Second-wave feminism was often run by and for

Oh, I know what it means and it only fits if you believe David Cross, otherwise, it’s a way to portray Charlyne Yi as an unreliable witness without actually blatantly accusing her of lying. I think it was a mistake on his part (and seeing the response from people on Twitter, I think I’m right)

I think her point was that a middle aged guy bullying a 20 year old woman is extra shitty?

I think she meant that a 40yo should be mature enough to understand that it’s an excessively dick move to be so harsh to someone 20 years younger who hasn’t yet acquired the same crusty, calloused emotional husk as you, racism or no.
