I’m not sure if you’re agreeing with me or not, but I agree with you. I hope my comment came off that I want women’s behavior to not be curtailed by potential attackers, but for women (and men!) to have the knowledge that they need to protect themselves how they see fit.

I think at 11 years old she’s still very much figuring out who she is, and a black stripper bra sends a certain message to an impressionable mind about “what is important” (i.e. sexiness).

OH GOD. The struggle is real.

Sorry :( Normal people like you don’t notice this kind of stuff, just weirdos like me, so... as you were.

I know, I know. I guess it’s more his diction than his tone for me. It sounds like he is eating mashed potatoes into the microphone and I just cannot.

The trick is to go ahead and have a personal preference and act on it appropriately, but not act like the other person is inferior or flawed for their qualities or otherwise discriminate against them.

Who’s to say your bad isn’t someone else’s (cough Faris cough) good?

The point is to give them tools to help themselves and make decisions for themselves within an environment of love and trust, and to not connect a failure to carry out your advice with shame and blame.

I think you can teach them how to defend themselves and how to avoid getting into some situations and how to say no while not making it about how they look or act around people.

I was wondering when someone was going to ask :)

What the fresh fuck are you even talking about. You read a lot into my comment that wasn’t there.

Perhaps it could have been more nuanced in light of #notallmen, but I feel like openly calling out harassment and complicity with harassment is a different thing than pouring a bunch of rose with your girlfriends in your own home and just shitting all over men’s ability to wipe their own asses.

You looking for him to go deeeeeeeeep somewhere else too? ;)

ENHANCE

Elizabeth Smart is an inspiration and a badass.

No idea. But it’s not as if it will hurt album sales.

Oh, AND! The fact that her design team sloppily left behind artifacts of serifs:

Is it the font itself, or the fact that it’s arranged like fifth-grader’s collage?

LW #2:

Holy shit, he’s going deeeeeeeeep this time.
