I live in B.C., too. Last year, I spent a large chunk of time pulling it off the fence and out of the garden; but there it is again, its tendrils sticking out the beds like poisonous snakes.

I know from experience that morning glory never, ever, ever fucking dies.
I feel sure they named them in her honour.
Thank you. It is debatable, though. I usually ignore it, but occasionally it’s not laziness but someone who genuinely doesn’t know (because no one ever corrected him), and might possibly want to learn the right way. The original poster got it exactly the wrong way around. So I decided to risk the white knights…
Or your landlord’s financial future.
As someone who has read the book, I am not sure it was well=written. Margaret Atwood has many virtues as a writer, but subtlety is not usually among them. And I am an on-and-off fan.
One of things that dragged down GoG one was its extremely conventional story. James Gunn was trying to make it a parody, sometimes, but it didn’t work for me. So yay! for a different story. And all movies should have more Michael Rooker. Maybe even Gamora will do something interesting this time.
I’m willing to try the experiment. Where’s Mythbusters when you need them?

The reason why that’s Aurora’s profession is that Jim, and the audience can rationalize that it’s not important she make it to the colony, compared to an…
As soon as I saw the headline, I thought: no prizes for guessing who’s playing the goody, and who’s playing the baddie.
Oh, it’s true all right. If you ever have to call Canadian businesses versus U.S. businesses, compare and contrast.
Doctors hate her.
I can think of more than one Smiths/Morrissey song appropriate to this sad situation.
Your faultless polite response to their horrifically rude comment gave the biggest grin!
I’m not sure if it’s good bad thing that such things are common knowledge.
While we don’t have all the facts, it might seem unlikely given the seriousness of the (alleged) situation and the fact that no one was permanently physically injured that you would get much. Bear in mind it is the UK, where people don’t usually get enormous personal injury settlements.
