It was a different time. You may not know this, but in 2008, we didn’t really know it was wrong to kidnap and rape children. Just like we didn’t know it was wrong to beat women until 2014. It’s been a very busy decade for us becoming “woken” and stuff.

I agree completely. Streep has enormous clout, and she’s been married w/ kids for like forever. She’s just not in the position for a studio executive to subject her to those kinds of manipulations. And any young actress who gets the chance to hang with Meryl Streep is not going to use that opportunity to complain…
