I met her at a book signing in like 2007 and when I told her my name she said, “You’re shittin’ me,” and asked to see my driver’s license. (It was admittedly weird of me to ask her to make it out to my full name.)

We pay more attention to them, and maybe they stay glamorous a bit longer because there are fewer consequences.
I never had an opinion on him before. But for some reason it has always thrilled me that she has consistently been more successful.
There is some science that links creativity to mental illness, so it’s not just your imagination.
Lot of violence against women goes unnoticed because it’s not a famous name on the police log.
I think it’s mostly that we pay attention to them. But, as someone who has tangentially worked in the industry, I think there’s a somewhat higher percentage overall of things like bipolar disorder, depression, etc. not that I have any real stats to back this up. I say this as someone whose father is a non-famous…
I vote that we just pay more attention to them. I’ve had this type of conversation several times with friends who worked at concert venues (doing the stereotypical M&M sorting type of thing), and we all realized that we have our own oddities that are only private because no one shops/cleans/cooks for us.

I really wanted Carrie Coon to win tonight. Her performance in The Leftovers to me was just incomparable.
She’s tremendous. I binged the Leftovers not long ago and she’s so damn good as Patti.
You know how when Jennifer Grey got her nose done and it totally changed her face and the first few times you saw her you didn’t recognize her? I feel the same way about Piven and his hair transplants. But my feelings haven’t changed. I still like her, and I still hate him.
Side note. I ran into Craig Robinson in a gym when I lived in Denver. He had a HUGE head. He was sitting way on the other side of the room and I thought he was right next to me.
i think he’s kinda great, if only for how excited he got introducing issa
You’d think with two impossibly beautiful parents she’d end up being blah, but no, instead she’s impossibly impossibly beautiful.
But did you see THIS?
Last week I had a dream I was dancing with Patrick Swayze. He was SO NICE. Made my whole day.
You stabbing Jennifer Jason Leigh in the back by not including her in your list:
