You know what? I’m usually pretty civil here, but my mother and sister are both in the Houston area right now. Both voted straight D in the last election, and definitely believe in global warming.

Houston is a purple/blue city. Can you not with the gloating right now? Even if it was as red as the more rural parts of TX, it would be in poor taste.

Can you not right now? Texas is a purple state that goes red because it’s gerrymandered to hell and back. It’s also home to Houston, the most diverse major city in the country, which is also getting hit the hardest.

Hey, I don’t blame you for feeling this way. Texans are fellow Americans too and they are in danger. Screw the people who want to engage in these regional battles. Disasters happen everywhere. People are really being assholes here and it’s wrong.

Every region has its share of disasters. I hate to see a petty regional war break out. America is already messed up enough, people fighting over which region is better just makes things worse and strengthens the opponents.

Cameron is annoying AF and nearly all his movies are terrible, but I think he has a point about Wonder Woman the character (nothing related to Gal Gadot or Patty Jenkins). The character, as she has basically always been, is fundamentally a sexist creation. Also, Sarah Connors fucking ruled.

Business take: Netflix makes billions of dollars. People working for them in a capacity that brings them more $ deserve appropriate compensation. Netflix makes $10,000 she should get $5 to be paid fairly in comparison.
