You have an equal or higher risk of getting listeria from fresh fruit though, so I ate as much soft cheese as I wanted…

Listeria contamination can still occur post pasteurization, which is why soft cheeses still carry a risk. I decided the risk was low enough to go ahead & eat it anyway.

No, the worry with the soft cheeses is generally listeria, even when pasteurized. But the risk is so low that I didn’t cut that shit out.

Eh, some of those things carry a much greater risk than others. In some countries women are told not to eat fresh fruit when they are pregnant.
