That's a definate possiblity. Or perhaps they had a specific part of their contract that gave Valve exclusive rights. Although if that was the case, this could easily have become a lawsuit rather than just throwing them out.

Xcom, now with more 60's existensialism for anti-alien weaponry scientists.
Maybe there's money to be made in scouting out potentially succesful new brands and registering future title domains.
The social feature is definately a big plus of Steam, and they've had a long time to develop that. Really, I wonder if it wouldn't be in the best interest of both companies to share friends-list.
Not sure if this is Anonymous doing, they tend to be very vocal with bragging about it.
This is ridiculous, how can we ever trust reviewers in this modern day and age? When companies threaten them because they give honest reviews, you know that there are those whom are too afraid to give games an overly negative review simply out of a business perspective - they want their goodies, and their preorders,…
Origin doesn't have an overlay or chat? I haven't really been looking into it, but I assumed it had that functionality at least.
So much Brown and bloom. WHyyyyyyyyyyy, the colours makes me want to puke.
This is exactly what happened with Warcraft, I'm afraid. Where is our Warcraft IV? We'll never see it, as it's been baked into WoW along with any other future expansions of the tale. It's quite frankly a crappy way of telling the story, as WoW is now filled with an armful of dead villains who hardly ever got to do…
I enjoyed that game, shouting commands left and right. I got really hoarse from it though.
Anyone else think this might be paid off product support?
How do we whom have PS3 access LA.Noire DLC, specifically the one that you got for free with the game. Do we just have to wait til' the store gets up?
One of the most important news in all this is that if they make Kerrigan into a special type of Hero unit, then they'll add Hero unit support for the custom games. Right now making hero units is a bit... iffy. The interface is not as smooth and nice as it used to be in Warcraft 3, and it's really slowed the progress…
This looks like stuff Bungie offered in Halo 3 a few years ago(replay and clip library), and that's for free. But I may be wrong.
Just watch Firefly man, just the first episode, you will understand why Nathan Fillion would be the perfect match for the rogueish role of Nathan Drake.
Me too. This isn't about games changing how their gameplay is like, this is fine in itself, change for the better are always good. But when compromises are made just for the sake of trying to pull in from a wider demographics, it starts getting out of hand(DA2 developers even stated they wanted to pull in the CoD…
You'd have to be blind not to see it. Massive banner and product campaign ran on The Escapist weeks before the release of Dragn Age 2, heaps of "informational" videos about all the "cool new exciting things about dragon age 2!" and then a score of 100. Even I who liked DA2 would not give it 100, I'd not give it…
Agreed, they tried to pull it far too much to weigh in on the same success as Mass Effect, and failed because of it. You don't have to be a hardcore RPG fan to like the type of RPG that Dragon Age Origin was, but Mass Effect is more of an action game with RPG elements. We wanted a real RPG, hardcore or not.
DA2 killed a little of my trust in Bioware. Now I fear what they will do to Mass Effect 3, and Dragon Age 3. I'm hoping ME3 will be able to restore my faith in them, but I'm not sure if I will trust in DA3 untill its out and I can get some user reviews on it.
I thought that too, then I replayed it a little and sat down and thought about it. While many of the games sidequests and small stories are very well done, the bigger story lacks both scope and perspective. Many of the game-design choices, from combat to level design were shamelessly rushed, simplified or just plain…
