Ah, and yet again has the powers of the female greed conquered against the weak forces of the male libido.

This isn't about if the industry wins on it in the long run or not.

Man, what is the world coming to? Once, EA was the hate object of everyone in the game industry. Now Activision is turning into it.

§32: "Activision conducted the investigation in a manner to maximize the inconvinience and anxiety it would cause West and Zampella. On little notice, Activision insisted on conducting interviews over the Presidents' Day holiday weekend; West and Zampella were interrogated for over six horus in a windowless conference

I honestly don't believe the harsh DRM's has anything to do with the pirates anymore.

@doubtful: I am not familiar iwth that one

This is what happens when you sell your soul to the big developers. Sure you say, they'll give me a hefty bonus to company CEOs, and make our studio have access to a lot better resources.

There is no DRM that that is good. There is none, and there never will be.

Anyone who have tried it, what happens if someone calls you? Will the app minimize and will you lose your progress?

@Shinobiii: I agree, and I don't think it will get as widespread as he made it sound. It was a hypothical example, of course.

Predator was here.

It would appear Japanese consumer look on the FPS market of the west in the same way as many gamers look on the JRPG market from the east.

@Tevor_the_Third: It's sad, but standard-setters are innovation breakers. The AvP games have been innovations in FPS gameplay ever since the first release of 1999, and even though AVP3 is a bit different for the first and the second game, it still retains many of it's innovative ideas.

@searanox: I'm not sure Caridin is the only steel golem. If you watch carefully in the Intro-sequence of DA:Origins, when they show the scene of the dwarven fortress being overrun, you can see both stone and steel golems standing in the ranks of the dwarves.

Interesting thing that happened in Sweden a few months back: A girl moves to Stockholm, and threw a party in her new apartment: With her WoW friends, because they were the only ones she knew in this strange new city.

Does anyone else think that the major big retailers is dead weight that only exploits the game industry?

@BloodEden: False, rifles hurt a lot more than alien claws, you know.

@VergessenHeld: And then the parrents will challenge Rebellion over Fox News that they put "grusome violence in the hands of their kids!"

@Sparkimus Prime: Shadowrun is an excellent multiplayer game. Sadly, they marketed it wrong. It was the ginue pig of Windows Live service for the PC - Microsofts feeble attempt to make PC players pay gold subscription to play some games online.
