I’m sorry, but there is a difference between not participating because you belive your skills aren’t sharpened enough and not participating because you don’t have a controller that’s broken in a very specific way.

That’s the mindset of the pro player, not that anime bullshit of doing your best against all odds.

Its ranking and the fact that he’s undefeated verse non top 6 when playing Peach or Fox since 2011 I think. that’s a really good point, talk about not making lemonade with life’s lemons. it’s really bad sportsmanship, goes against the spirit of true competition. “a poor artist blames his tools” or some such quote.

I suppose it’s all about rankings and such, but if he actually showed up I don’t see why he doesn’t just try his best with what he has at his disposal. Could still do pretty well and walk away with a bit o’ cash.
