His relievers, defense and managers seemingly take turns at failing him every postseason. He shouldn’t have pitched the 7th in this game, after short rest, nearing 100 pitches, with the heart of the Washington order coming up. His idiot relief pitchers (seriously, fucking Baez again??) shouldn’t allow their inherited

If Corey Seager fields a fairly routine ground ball in the 7th, or Kershaw gets one of two probably-strike threes called against Harper, today we’re talking about how Kershaw struck out 11-12 and walked 1 on short rest. That’s why this is just a narrative.

I think the stats tell a way different story than watching it live does. For example, an assessment of yesterday’s “meltdown” should consider: Kershaw pitching over 100 pitches on three days’ rest (esp considering his very recent DL stint); relatedly, Roberts keeping Kershaw into the 7th, which incidentally also meant

It’s the American way. We love underdogs until they win.

Or better yet, Giants #beLEAVIN’ the Post Season.

So a Bay Area team that many people thought were destined to win the title ended up blowing a 3-1 lead at home against a “cursed” team from the Midwest and Draymond Green was at the game?

After last year’s atrocities, I never would have thought that I’d trust our bullpen more than our starters now a days.

....4 good in a 5-game series?

Welp, our top two pitchers didn’t show up in DC. Hopefully KENTA helps the Nats Go 2 Sleep in Game 3.

This seems like a hard time for you. On top of everything else, you lose your coveted “Most Violent Fans in Baseball” title to the ‘Jays.

I’m just hoping he pitches more like he has in the past two months than he previously has in the playoffs.

I’m an asshole because I don’t like a guy who enforces the unwritten rules of baseball and yells at people for not playing the game the right way? OK.

Please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please PLEASE beat the Giants.

I hope Cespedes hits a ball 500 feet off Bumgarner, flips the bat so hard it takes off like an Apache helicopter and leaves the stadium, and then stares down that Appalachian fuckwit before he does a pirouette and salsa dances his way around the bases.

I hope they beat the Giants just so we can all be well and past that, but LOL at the thought of that rotation beating anyone in a full series.

Counterpoint: Madison Bumgarner is a douche canoe who destroys any goodwill the rest of the team might otherwise deserve. May they lose horribly tonight.

I don’t consider asking for a living wage outrageous.

Me throughout that 9th and 10th inning, and the farewell after; as a SoCal kid, Vin was more than baseball to me, he was my childhood, one that didn’t feel like it truly ended until he hung it up (at home). At least we made it a good one to go out on in LA
