A good friend of mine works for various radio stations keeping their relay antennas in working order and on the air when weather turns for the worse. This sometimes requires him to drive up a mountain in a storm to get the the tower and get a relay up and running, etc. His AWD Vibe took him everywhere he needed to go

These were used by the police for a number of years. IIRC they were the only car capable of catching the motorcycles.

I have a coworker that can confirm this incident as she was in the car with me.

Yeah Victim Olympics!

I have a good friend who runs the service department for a large HD agency in the northeast. He’s been telling me for years that this was coming. Bike sales are down in general and kids aren’t brought up riding bikes anymore, so there’s no light to be seen at the end of their tunnel.

Back in the late 80's I auto-xed an ‘85 CRX. FWD. Primitive beam-axle rear suspension. Torsion bar front suspension. It shouldn’t have worked at all. But dang that car was so amazingly nimble and controllable. It was no trouble to toss that car into a 4-wheel drift on fast sweepers in a parking lot, or an empty

I was visiting my sister and she had made deviled eggs for a neighbor’s party. She arranged them onto a platter, and then wrapped th platter with Saran-Wrap. Except she didn’t use Saran-Wrap, she used some dollar store stuff that didn’t stick to the platter.

Mark’s Monday night cruise in Granby CT. After work get-together every Monday night (weather permitting) from May through September. A nice night can pack in 800+ cars. A very high percentage of muscle cars and late model muscle cars (there were about a dozen Hellcats there the last meeting of the year) but there’s

just got into podcasts about 6 months ago so i’ve sampled quite a few. here’s my current list:

What’s tagalog for “get a butterfly net”?

I had an ‘85 CRX and finding 13" rubber or it was nearly impossible. If they bring the 13" to the states and the price isn’t astronomical, I might just get a set to park in the basement.

Nice work - - kudos to you. I hope my newly acquired ‘81 GPPZ550 (D1) makes it on the road by next spring.

A collection (hoard) of unique but dilapidated cars and the unused track right in the same county (Chrysler Proving Grounds). I see nothing but good coming from that pairing

Still not seeing any reason why the police demanded a tox screen on the truck driver. The truck driver was clearly the victim here so why are the police questioning his condition.

My LGT was one of the most trouble-prone cars I’ve ever owned - - it was a very happy day when I watched the new owner take it off my hands. I only got $1,000 for it (full-disclosure drove the price way down) but I was grateful to make the deal. I know the WRX’s to be bullet-proof, but for some reason that reliability

I have to agree, no human injured or threatened, just skill... and dare I say, some redneck panache.

Who the hell builds malls these days?

Headlight bulbs. Those super-expensive replacement halogens may throw some more candlepower, but at the cost of longevity. Check out the life expectancy of one of the super-expensive bulb the next time you’re contemplating buying a set - - IIRC a life 65% of the cheap, stock replacement bulb is about all you can
