Same experience. My BMW (2000 model year, I’ve owned since 2003) has proven to be dead reliable and the maintenance I’ve performed has been mostly preventative. Since 2003 I’ve spent maybe, MAYBE, $3,500 on it , and that includes a few sets of tires.
