A company (949 racing?) use to sell a reverse circulation cooling kit to help with the overheating problem. They made some other good equipment for the Miata but I don't know anyone personally who ever tried the conversion.

I always preferred the Ford Consul Capri. Rare as heck here in the US, but they were imported for a few years.

A Miata with an automatic

The 12 in DMC-12 stood for it's price: $12K. Missed the mark a bit - - by the time it hit the dealerships it was more than $25K. Of course production problems, and a boat-anchor engine didn't help things, but being more than 100% above estimated price certainly had an impact.

Any older Honda Civic Si. They are a fun, reliable, and economical but if you're over 30, know how to wear a belt and a baseball cap, and aren't willing to slap a V-TECH window sticker on the thing (along with random hand gestures) you'll look out of place behind the wheel.

It's true! As documented on the internet, of the ca. 3,000 M Coupes in the US more than 5,000 are known to have had complete subframe/trunk floor/trailing arm mount failures.

Z3 M Coupe. Hell, the damn thing was designed by engineers who just wanted to make a better Z3. No business case for it, and marketing seemed to abandon it upon launch, but it was just so refreshing to see Ze-Germans (Ze-German-Engineers, actually) build something they just WANTED.
