I think the only reason a game cannot be played on TV mode is if it solely uses the touch screen for controls. I can’t think of anything else. Don’t want to bother with resolution upgrade? Just make the TV mode 720p. Also there should be a disclaimer on the eShop or the case so it’s not really a hassle to check.
