To me, the telling sign isn’t so much that they have switched hands between Sony and MS, but their placing at the show. Call of Duty used to start MS conferences for years and now they are just another game in the middle of Sony’s show, not really a highlight.

Counter-Strike, on the OG Xbox, XBL multiplayer. i don’t know how long i was playing for, but my mom got up for work at 6am and found me still playing from the night before. She was not happy. i honestly didn’t know what time it was until she told me.

hmmm, interesting. I never thought of Summer Wars as a commentary on video games, but social media and our always connected lives, video games being part of that. There are video games in it, fighting and that tile game that i’m forgetting the name of but i don’t think it would label it a “video game” movie.

the Netflix app was sooooooo good at launch. i used it all the time mainly because it was so great to use. and then they upgraded patched it and it is awful now. If it wasn’t for House of Cards, i wouldn’t even bother.

Blood-C should be banned... for being terrible and an awful perversion of the Blood franchise. If we could erase that anime from existence, the world will be better for it. I for one say thank you China!

i'm guessing that complaining about video game console features has to be pretty high on the first world problems list as well, but thats just me.

Because the stakes are really low. You can mess around with this version in ways you couldn't with a Western release. Imagine if they released this in the West. The Xb1 owners would be pissed that they can't play it. The PC people would bitch that you can't DL from steam but from the MS store or something like that.…

i don't worry about Nintendo licensing Zelda/Mario/Samus/etc to a mobile game company to make free to play games. I worry about those free-to-play games making so much damn money that Nintendo doesn't need/want to make "traditional" games anymore. Thats the day that Nintendo dies and i hope it doesn't happen.
