Ya, I get all of that, and I’m certain those were that factors that led to the decision; won’t dispute that at all. I’m mostly just super curious about the timing here. I think that is what makes this an interesting case.

As for your notes on Valve, that’s the point I have about Valve claiming this move is “unfair” to

Hey I’m willing to concede that point. It’s part of why I would find a deeper exploration into this decision interesting.

Saying this again since I couldn’t find my reply to this from earlier, but really, Valve trying to pivot a story to appear “pro-consumer” given the entire history of Steam really just shows complete lack of awareness on their part.

Again, Valve taking a “pro-consumer” stance on anything remains laughable to me. That feels like a really rocky given their general hands off policy regarding . . . well any level of moderation beyond “small indie games with sex = bad, but the Witcher gets a pass”

People seem to be misunderstanding me. I get the business behind it. I’m just super interested in the timing of this announcement. I understand Epic is paying upfront fro exclusivity, and the higher return on sales in Epic. The decision makes sense. I just am super curious about how a decision (and/or announcement) to

I get that, but still a AAA just up and changing distro model after taking pre-orders and all that, including DLCs. I understand the money decision behind this and probably driving this, but I still think a close look at how this came about would be super enlightening.

Ok, Valve complaining about the “fairness” of anything is laughable, but I’m actually really curious about the decision-making process that led to this happening in this manner at this late a point.

I don’t really mind the idea of the newer content that may be more driven to making soloing possible. I’d be interested in that private server if there was a reasonable assumption of population being around to make grinding through low and mid levels more tolerable.

Something similar is on the HD remaster collection as well. It may have been patched in recently, because I don’t remember it happening before I loaded up KH2 last night. I was kinda thrown myself as i plan to stream bits of playthrough of 2 before getting 3.

That’s tentatively the plan, but we’ll see if I get impatient. Just tell me THF/RNG is still fun and valid. The master Taru thief Wiggles wants to return as the bane of Windurst.

Slay the Spire is amazing and the mod community that has sprouted up around it has been absolutely amazing. I definitely think you’ll find lots to love about it.

And? I’d buy.

I’d be in. I could actually use a truck like thing but even the ranger is a bit more heft that I’m really looking for, and the world is too cruel for Subaru to bring back the Baja

Hey if we standards over at Jalopnik, the world would be missing a lot of awesome “How I avoided dying today” stories and Fancy Kristen. Do you want to deprive us of Fancy Kristen? No, sir, you do not.

The added safety stuff is pretty rad, and I understand that my choices here are getting a bit long in the tooth, but i still LOVE my 2014 Mazda2 to fit right into this bracket for 2-3 grand less.

I got some more Tales of Vesperia on tap. Still can’t believe I passed on that one the first time. Plus streaming more CIV VI since I’m hyped for the new expansion, and some more of the Mass Effect series-long play through I’m working on.

That’s one option, however I offer PlatinumGames as another option.
