A sampler disc (like they did for TNG) would also be a good idea, but doing the project primarily for streaming - say CBS All Access - and later doing a physical media release, would be the best option.

I'd settle for a DVD release of the original 4:3 SD versions. The widescreen DVD remaster is bloody awful on account of all the cropped and zoomed VFX shots.

"Filmed onto tapes" really isn't accurate. Shot on film, post-produced to videotape is more accurate. This is par for the course for most American TV dramas of the eighties to early naughts.
They periodically delete older threads anyway, though.

For an ABC (Australia) comedy series, this is actually a pretty long run. Most recent ABC comedies usually go two seasons at most, Upper Middle Bogan aside.
