I think the idea is for it to resemble the SS symbol. But since he is the epitome of what Hitler wanted from the SS he has the single representing his dominance over the rest of that rank. Makes sense to me.

I would prefer a fan made Suicide Squad movie in general, this cast sounds so unbelievably miscast it's not even funny.
