I can’t stand having the roof box on top of the car and take it off after every trip. It’s only a minor hassle at this point because I’m so used to putting on/off a few times a year, and I built a simple rack in the garage to put it on. I also have a hitch cargo rack that’s more convenient to get on/off for smaller

If you’re going to review a minivan, you have to at least assess how useful it is. This is like a knife review without ever slicing anything. Beg, borrow, or steal some kids/dogs and see what works and what doesn’t. Is is easy to fold the seats up/down? Are there weird nooks and crannies where Cheerios and Hot Wheels

I have a’21 TLX and I wouldn’t recommend it for Carlos’s needs. The interior is actually pretty small and the mileage is not good. My kids have outgrown the backward facing seat, but a simple forward-facing seat is still hard to install into the back seat. Plus, the low stance and small rear door opening makes it

You’re 100% correct on the tax code. After the much baleyhooed GOP tax cuts passed, our effective tax rate (wife and I both W-2 earners/suckers) remained essentially the same. My accountant told me that in order to maximize our tax advantages, my wife and I should form an LLC. That way, our family vacation can be

Off-road cosplay is hatch-mounted spare, with a jerry can mounted to that, light bar, RED recovery hooks, a spotless hi-lift jack, and wheel bead locks (real or not). Add in some stickers and you’re 99% there.

Just bought a new vehicle recently in June (Acura TLX) and it was painless and I was able to pay significantly below MSRP (!!!) for it. It helps that I have a good relationship with the dealer and the salesman. I bought my 2017 MDX from the same person. New vehicles can be bought, but it’s very model-dependent. While

I think a Volvo or VW wagon would be a good choice. I’d go for the newest Alltrack I can get. Reasonable combination of comfy, practical, and sporty for what it is. Not “sleeper” per se, but definitely not that common either.

2000 nights at a Hampton Inn, just sayin’.

Great comment. When I was younger, I was definitely pro death penalty as it makes sense in my reptilian brain. However, as I get older and understand more about our “justice” system and its inequities, the death penalty doesn’t make sense anymore.

I’d be onboard with this idea. Increase gas tax to pay for this infrastructure, and if gas stations/travel centers install EV charging stations, they get a break on the gas tax so they can charge less (or make more profit) for their gas. It’s better to improve or make use of existing infrastructure than to start one

Cool concept, but agreed that a travel trailer would be much better and more useful. Even a top-of-the-line AirStream (Bambi or Basecamp) would cost less than a build like this.

Agreed, especially about the TV. We only have two (traditional) TVs left in the house, and they barely ever get turned on. Phones/tablets/laptops are a much more portable and lightweight entertainment options.

Should’ve been the new Wagoneer.

Every knows that gas is cheap, but petrol is ungodly expensive.

But it’s a Tiburon, something that’s not very special or particularly endearing. You don’t buy this for the “value,” but rather for the nostalgia and owning something that is subjectively much cooler than the Tiburon.

Reluctant NP! Would need to do inspection to find out, but it appears to be a good example of an unmolested Integra in great condition. You can put some extra $$ into this to make it a unique and reliable daily driver that you can take to the Cars and Coffee on weekends. I’m sure there are mods available to get some

I have a slightly different take. While you think you’d want a funky car because everyone expects you to have one based on your job, I think this vehicle won’t grow with you very well. The cool, unique, car will get old quick after it overheats on the 405. Get something that will be absolutely fun and will mature

Every vehicle immediately looks better in racing livery.

Yeah, but the “liberty or death” crowd would cry murder and say that God, Jesus, and their HS football coach told them it was anti-Constitutional and anti-Bible.

The sentence is probably appropriate for this, whether it’s a rich kid in a Lambo or a poor kid in a beater Civic. Hopefully the family of the deceased can file a wrongful death suite and settle in civil court. Wouldn’t bring the family the justice they want, but some justice nonetheless.
