This looks better than the Maverick, and will appeal to more “non-truck” people.

If you’re looking for something small to haul things in, get a Ford Transit Connect. This is an everyday commuter compact SUV with a bed. The question should be not how this compares to a truck, but what can you carry with this that you can’t (or wouldn’t) in a typical CUV.
I just gave my niece a used (and well-maintained) 2008 Honda CRV. That is a perfect vehicle for a new driver. Easy to drive, still reliable, not very fast, and pre-dented on several panels. A used vehicle with a AAA membership is the best first car for a teenager.
The modern equivalent, though not as versatile. Has anyone got one of these? Is is worth the price premium over a small, cheap flatbed trailer?
I assume he works for FCA, and the Challenger is on a company lease program. Not his car and not his problem when he trades it back into the company demo fleet.
You should be happy that the S-boxes in your neighborhood are worth so much. One thing that is making the prices high is the low interest rates coupled with relatively high inflation. I just purchased a new vehicle and had enough cash to pay it outright. However, I just financed the entire purchase because the…
The agents, appraisers, and financiers all work together to make sure the deal goes through. Just make sure you’re able to make the mortgage payments after it’s all said and done. We bought a house in Feb 2020 (closed in March 2020) and considered ourselves lucky based on how much harder it is now to get a house.
As someone who started to build simple wooden stuff in the garage during the pandemic, I would say fasteners (of any kind). Cheap fasteners that strip off, break, wear, or can’t hold the load properly is a huge PITA as well as safety hazard. Plus, once the head is stripped off, or it shears off inside the material,…
Will there be a new, obnoxious wave that Bronco owners will be required to learn when they see an on-coming Bronco? Does the Bronco Sport count? Maybe they can practice this wave at the service department.
Not all vehicle loans are bad. If you have restraint and buy something within your means, a vehicle loan is often a good financial deciscion because the interest rates are very low, and it’s a simple loan (i.e. no compounding interest).
When I worked for GM in the early 00s, many of the management were some of the most pig-headed people in the world. Perhaps being located, and in many cases raised and schooled in the midwest blinded them to coming trends in the industry. This was the start of the SUV boom, spear headed by the Lexus RX. According to…
Why don’t they just go at the heart and implement a HP limit? Wouldn’t that level-out the playing field better?
I’m about to settle on a new TLX A-spec with a very good dealer discount. I really wanted the Type S, but there’s a waiting list and basically the dealer told me there is no negociation on the price (and maybe even a dealer markup).
Next, please explain “Mode 1, Push”. Thanks for the informative article!
Having finished all three seasons of “Drive to Survive” recently, I feel like an F1 expert! Most of the drivers are easy to root for except for Manzepin. Can’t wait to see how S4 will show/treat him. Stroll seems like a nice kid, but his dad is a giant prick. The young Euros: Sainz, LeClerc, Ocon, Gasly, Norris, and…
My MDX has the “open-pore” wood option. It is nice and warmer than a varnished surface, plus no finger prints.
I test drove an Acura TLX (A-spec) this past weekend. I wanted the Type-S, but the dealer told me that all of them that they pre-ordered have been spoken for. The only good thing right now about car prices is that financing (0% for up to 72 months) is very cheap now.
Since David is doing reviews of things other than Jeeps, I think it’s time to “quantify” the off-roadability of vehicles. You take the off-road specs, then multiply by a weighting factor, then add points for various items like skid plates, locking diffs, drive modes, etc. to get an overall off-road score. The top…
When I got my ‘17 MDX, the other vehicle we considered was the CX-9. The biggest problem with the CX-9 is the interior. It feels much more cramped than the size of vehicle suggests, and the 3rd row is basically unusable. The Acura drives and handles very well for its size, and has been generally reliable and still…
