The Range's Copper Wire should be in all commercials, and I mean that as a compliment. It creates such a motivating mood.

Thanks so much for Bobo Yeye, Family Atlantica, and Hailu Mergia recommendations.
And what's weird is that there are quite a few bands with that blend in Japan. J-rock is a weird and varied thing and it has its own evolution.
I can agree to the 2nd. It's their worst album for that reason, even if he remains good at writing a good pop dance tune. I do think Edith pulls off the "spooky, kind of hollow-sounding chanteuse" thing. You read it here first: Edith is the new Nico.
Any parent who makes the time for Danny Brown and Kaytranada is doing pretty well.
It may not appeal, but her track with the aforementioned A Tribe Called Red was the standout, too. https://www.youtube.com/wat…
I saw a bunch of Canadian lists with A Tribe Called Red at the top, and I can't argue with it. Their transition from bro-EDM to something smarter has been amazing, and they're capitalizing on their moment.
Well, you understand that the political unrest in Guyana has significantly set back their tech house nights, so that's going to affect the list. haha
I was extraordinarily jealous of anyone who got to see Noveller open and then him on this most recent tour.
Hey, we lined up on the Aesop Rock tracks. I didn't see people single out Defender much in reviews, but everyone I've talked to about it loves it. (It was my favorite.)
Ooh! I haven't heard of some, so this is a treat. Battle Lines sounds great so far.
If you liked Shura, check out her feature on this guy I like's upcoming album. https://www.youtube.com/wat…
I'm in Milwaukee, so that was the show I saw. I'll happily claim Bjork, Zola Jesus, and Crystal Castles as the best of the many musicians I've seen. I'm 6'4" and work out a lot, but even I got beaten up a little bit in the front thanks to the surging crowd. It's exhausting, but so worth it if you've never seen them.…
The man who produced the single used to be just okay and then created a new sound as Clap Clap, through which he is now excellent. https://www.discogs.com/art… Tayi Bebba is phenomenal and even comes with a cool map of the fictional locale.
PopMatters really breaks down genre-by-genre lists for their best ofs, which I appreciate. I'd welcome your take on it http://www.popmatters.com/f… , as I saw a few of your choices mentioned.
They wrote the 1st part and it's biting and lyrical but not her "voice." She/her team wrote the 2nd part, and it is, disappointingly, in her voice.
I don't want to copy-and-paste my graphic adventure rant here, as I actually agree with everything you wrote (Samorost 3 is just like the others, but better, for the record, and you should play it!)
I said it before but the disparity in quality between the 1st verse/chorus and 2nd verse/bridge on Hold Up was really jarring upon first hearing it. You could hear the seams between Misty and her/her team.
I'd actually say my opinion is considered the lame and weird one. Biases: The new tracks kill live (and Edith is quite good), Suffocation is 1 of my very favorite songs ever, and they are the kind of safe dark for which I have a weakness.
