I am happy to call it that. You don't ALWAYS need a cool gimmick like Botanicula. Sometimes, the experimentation can be aesthetic, or with the situations they create for the mechanics, or in the way the story is told, or in the little bonus easter eggs with no real purpose but to delight you.

on seriously thats really cool for characters who dont have projectiles like cammy no seriously love people like you thanks so much

Samorost 3 got me back into video games.

Yup, I remember. That was more directed to other commenters, ha ha.

As I've said a ton of times, the people who did Rugrats (and Aaah, Real Monsters) fled the Soviet Union and did Nickelodeon to fund more of their weird, awesome art. https://www.youtube.com/wat… They are intimately connected!

I am currently trying to save my crippled hard drive with my giant music list (THANKS, WINDOWS 10, FOR AUTO-INSTALLING EVEN WHEN I ASKED YOU NOT TO), but there are definitely some notable EPs and foreign music coming out, too. So far, 2016 has disappointed me, but it's time for that to change.

This is just a blip that'll happen in January, April, July, and October, the big release months. This feature STILL left out notable EPs and a few mixtapes, so you could easily have doubled the size and still not caught all of the interesting stuff from here and overseas.

And Tricot, though math rock, put out the best debut album of the 10s, no matter the country.

I posted amazing post-Soviet-themed Russian music over in the science fiction article!

I skip to the Chance bars almost every time and wish I could stop the yelp singing before that and the nothing after that, so I remain unconvinced.

Really? @@bhowza:disqus Except for the fascination with weirdos, I don't think they are compatible. I adore both, but, for example, the Coens are into common decency as the sign of a good human, whereas O'Connor would say that's the kind of unequipped person who gets eaten alive by the world. You could get a great

Update: Missouri Synod (and Lutheran schools in general) remain amazing, topping public school districts on average.

I legitimately think Sasha Banks could beat him up, and she's billed at 5'5", 114 pounds, so she's probably 5'3", 105.

Holy cow, I had never seen Geon. That is…something else, something that requires a couple more views, certainly.

Yeah, the type of people I read only delve into architecture to insult the couple of Soviet styles, but I could not find it more amazing. I wouldn't want EVERY city to look like that, but, shoot, what's Minneapolis have going on that's so cool? A winter's day with such striking figures would be awe-inspiring.

Well, then you won't mind me posting 1 more, 1 REALLY abstract but which you eventually gather is about the bipolarity of living under authoritarianism (economically, religiously, artistically, and so on). https://www.youtube.com/wat… It's definitely 1 of the only abstract films that can evoke tears from me.

This was really, really good and actually took some work. Nice job! To the question, I think the answer is yes, but only if this wave creates a next generation that reacts to the 1st. Why?

I'm not as well-versed outside of the Tarkovskii art experiments, so I'll dig into what you said. I DO know animation backward and forward, and while more commercial work happened about science fiction, not a lot of high-quality art did.

Dang, I adore this much-needed article. You could easily do a follow-up to the twins of dystopia or medievalism you allude to in modern Russian art.

Sadly, athletes' foundations and schools definitely have a noticeable failure rate…or perhaps it's simply that their failures are more visible.
