Sadly, there was never a definitive version. 1 was wonderful, 2 was better, 3 improved on the gameplay but backslid on "stuff," including moves, and then Homecourt was unique but not the best at anything.
Wow, I've totally forgotten about that one. I never put much time into it (I like Puzzle Bobble/Bust-A-Move just okay), but I'll track it down this month for sure.
Right, it's a straight ROM dump, basically, but the positive aspect is that you can just copy the files to a folder and emulate them with an emulator that DOES do online multiplayer.
To both you and @merlinthetuna, that's absolutely correct, which is why I will neglect to purchase games that use lazy, copy-and-paste design to artificially extend a game.

2013 was my 1st lapse year. I enjoy every genre, for real, but prefer either weird or super-challenging to polished but uninteresting. So, like, Undertale and Bloodborne? Yes. Fallout 4? No.
