Woo, LaToya! I'm at least glad somebody SAW it.
I really have no problem with people putting Lucha Underground and maybe NXT on their lists. Lucha Underground is the most newbie-accessible and fun wrestling around. Kyle gets my affection for that.
GhaleonQ's final grade: No one even watched Danger 5. F-minuses all around.
Dylan Moran: Off The Hook. Find it and make time. It even beats Monster and most of Black Books.
Even Todd was like, "Um, I don't know, Chvrches was good. Put them on the list."
Hey, Jenner is a MANSLAUGHTERING imbecile in the show. I could make some bad argument that Jenner's acceptance is representative of America glossing over her flaws for the story Jenner's telling, but, no, it's probably just South Park screwing around as usual.
That is actually pretty hilarious. I get that it's hard to get consensus in this split age, but if you can do it for 10 hours' worth of television, 45 minutes of music shouldn't be much homework.
I would say "just good" (I like his stand-up better). That said, it's notable for being a puppet show that doesn't rely on said puppet doing and saying outraaaaaaaaaaaaaageous things. I appreciated the restraint and trying to tell real jokes. I did like the songs quite a bit, though.
There was that 1 time 30 Rock had 4 episodes in January and, dang it, it was the best show that year!
Who knew that stopping their "cancel everything after 1 season" policy would pay such dividends?
I include stuff like Detectorists (and Rev., back before it came over) just to acknowledge how every country is stepping up its game, but Danger 5 is easily accessible! They did American screenings at festivals! The non-nerds at Grantland wrote about it! It's going to be a television shibboleth for me, I know.
The best thing is that there was nothing about it that made me question whether or not Season 2 would be even better. If it's pretty great while it's conspicuously finding its feet, we're in for a treat when it comes back.
As someone who would much rather be convinced than try to figure out if tastes match from numbered lists, thanks for the effort! I need to really sit down with Rick And Morty and learn to like its characters.
I am terrified that I agree, especially if you keep it American. I'm just awed that he put together an unimpeachable season of television and 2 more good ones that purposely led to it.
*notices references to The Simpsons' and South Park's longevity* I don't think anyone would question that the best episodes of The Simpsons hit heights South Park doesn't touch, but, I mean, is South Park the better overall show, end-to-end, at this point? So many episodes of The Simpsons don't matter or actively harm…
In the same way that David Letterman is responsible for so much of American television humor for the last 30 decades, I am pretty sure that Tumblr/Twitter/mid-prestige print and online magazines (so, like, New York Magazine) are responsible for the next generation's sense of humor. This terrifies me.
Our putsch begins at nightfall! Here, an urgent message. http://helpusgreatwarrior.t…
Oh, totally, and sadly the commentary on the season 2 DVD is just not the same. Apparently, they couldn't keep it together recording the season 1 commentaries, which is why they're so short. There was too much simple watching and laughing. I find that charming and yet regret not getting more ridiculous ramblings.
No problem! Vecchione's last album is half amazing, half too easy and capped a nice run on television, but I'm expecting his next special to make his name permanently.
