The Dreaming is a ballsy call for best Kate Bush album. It’s arguably the most out there, which is exciting in itself, but Hounds of Love is her master work.
Hounds Of Love streamlines and synthesizes the eccentricities of The Dreaming, making them more immediate but no less potent.
“Got a gun that my granddad gave me / They say one day they’re gonna round up / Well, that shit might fly in the city, good luck”
Great work showing that cool rainbow jello thingy and not listing it
We’re in the CA expansion area, so far I’d say they’re much more on par with Little Caesar’s than even a Dominos or Pizza Hut.
Andor is a great counterexample of a Star Wars show that doesn’t feature a character from the original trilogy that was universally liked.
I loved it. It was one of the set of VHS tapes that I’ve known nearly word for word for 35 years because I lived overseas for a while and had no English TV when I was a kid.
The Abyss is perfect to me. It’s somewhere among my top 3 of Cameron’s.
“Texas Chili” as a specific tradition, doesn’t have beans in it. In general, chili is better with beans in it. You can even get the kind of chili with beans in it in Texas- the legendary “Texas Chili Parlor” in Austin sells at least three kinds of chili with beans in them (including a five bean vegetarian.)
Yes, as a fellow Texan NO there are no beans in real Texas chili, but also I don’t mind beans in chili.
I am a native Texan and I like beans in my chili. Pinto beans though not kidney beans. I think it tastes better that way. You can’t taste tradition. Eat it for the flavor how ever you like. Also I never hope the Cowboys win
FOR KING AND COUNTRY!!!
Man, I just wonder how many alien invasion’s I prevented in Highschool but was to stoned to realize
“...it was estimated that every British adult needed to drink 124 pints of beer to reach pre-COVID business levels...”
Just more incentive to do your drinking alone and in the morning.
Yeah, you have Bowie on there, but not even the best, or 2nd or 3rd best Bowie video. The videos from ★ were definitely his best work, specifically the title track.
That distinction feels more like a function of the era in which they were made, than of the content itself. And most of them are more entertaining than at least a few of the ones on this list.
This is a foolish list to even attempt for any other reason than SEO engagement, so yeah, well done.
Needs more Bjork. She has, like, at least 5 videos that are fantastic, if not some of the best of all time (All Is Full of Love, It’s Oh So Quiet, Human Behaviour, Hyperballad, Army of Me, Triumph of a Heart, etc.).
