The $3.4B loss is deceiving. The new leadership wrote off a bunch of assets that they didn’t think were worth keeping all at once because it benefits them to do it now after the merger. It also includes costs associated with the merger itself.

Hi, okay I could have phrased that last part a bit better! My point was, if you’re a vegan for ethical reasons who has no qualms about eating at McDonald’s et al — whether it’s because you have few other options or you like the taste, not judging here — you’ll probably also be okay with eating a patty from

Probably just her specific reaction to the trauma she endured throughout the whole thing.

Right? If they ever stop carrying it at my local McDonalds, I will stop going.

Every time you guys mention it makes me think McD’s Hot Mustard is gone. When it’s readily available where I am. But I do feel you if it’s missing in your area.

Straight guy here. This movie is awesome and very underrated as a Zemeckis picture. It’s very fun. Sure, the satirical targets are very old (like Madeline and Helen get) but you get involved because of these delectable characters and the story’s sheer entertainment value, which includes a fantastic production design,

I am from the restaurant industry but I was a pizzamaker (and still take shifts occasionally). Not a lot of mayo in pizza, the last time I checked, so I didn’t reach for it professionally much aside from making finishing sauces now and then.

I feel like it's appeared before and probably others pointed it out, but I like that Gene has a Kansas City Royals lunchbox. Makes sense as the closest Major League team, but more specifically, as a connection to Kim's Royals shirt she used to wear around their house.

I’ve enjoyed the journey, but I’m not sure I’d have made it this far were it not for the lack of competition in terms of quality, ambitious shows made for adults I haven’t seen yet.

“So, after all that... a happy ending.”

The tracking number of the “sprayer” crate is 1968-AE35, which is a fun “2001" in-jokey reference.

this is one of the best shows on tv this year. sexy, honest, absurd and truly has me cackling like a witch at the director character.

My heart was racing just as much if not more for this than any of the thrilling heights of Breaking Bad. BCS somehow keeps finding ways to prove to everyone that its fucking phenomenal.

i tried yelling “chair” at my co-workers and they just stared back at me

I think we're at the point where it can be safely said this is at least a vastly more interesting season than the third season was. It could all fly off the rails, but at least these are fascinating ideas for the show to be doing this season.

I mean, if anyone would be tolerant of the show’s excesses, it’d be a Gene Wolfe fan...

What a twist, I loved that Caleb is pretty much gone and that Hale is delighting in twisting the knife to whatever left of him, even as a Host. It felt like best parts of Season 1 and 2 coming back to play out whatever’s left for the second half of season.
