It’s incredible how a banal task such as making your bed every morning can change your life. Sure, in itself is extremely unimportant and low priority, but if you really think about it, it is actually a very important act of self care. By taking care of your bedroom, which is probably the most intimate space you

I find it mildly amusing how there’s a “right wing” gaming community. I mean, whatever, but it’s just funny considering that at the core of every meaningful gaming community there’s a spirit that’s anything but “right wing”. Just think about cosplay communities, about fighting game communities, about modding

The answer to this is simple: Play indie games. I would very much like to play FF7R on pc but, if it’s about playing something and having fun, there are hundreds of amazing indie games out there that cost a tenth of the price of AAA games and are as much fun - if not even more fun - and will provide as many hours of

Man, what you wrote is spot on. The thing I always found crazy clever is how even though the game was created around the concept of rewinding time and averting a disaster, it is nevertheless always reminding you that you cannot alter the past, and that death is inevitable. Particularly the stories of Darmani an Mikau

Wow... I mean Bioshock is not a flawless game by any means, but I honestrly felt that ludonarrative harmony is probably one of the high points of the game. The argument put forward by Hocking relies heavily on the way he perceives what the game is about, but I think that is a very subjective matter. In a way,

I think the problem with Nintendo is that it’s still being presided mostly by boomers who are very out of touch with modern society and do not understand the weight of cultures that form around gaming. For them, property rights are immaculate and cannot be breached under any circumstance whatsoever, and the formality

I don’t know dude.. I mean, just give me one pokemon game where I can finally catch every single pokemon there is (or at least all non legendary/mythical) without having to rely on pokemon applications or events or paid DLC or whatever... like SSB Ultimate where every fighter ever is include. I would definitely put my

Hereditary is such a good film. I didn’t know a whole lot about the film before  I watched it, so I wasn’t expecting much and it really caught me by surprise. I remember finishing it and telling to myself this was the best horror film I had seen in a long time or maybe ever. It left me hungry for more, but all the

I think that the one thing none wants to admit is that FF6 is definitely the most overrated of all. I mean, while it’s a good game all things considered, it hasn’t aged well at all. I recently played all numbered games from 5 to 10 in succession and the one that stood the most as not at all as good as people say it

MonHun Stories 1 was pretty good. It gave you the opportunity to fight alongside your favorite monsters so, if you were a MH junkie by then, it felt amazing when you hatched that one monster you liked the best. In terms of gameplay, while it was certainly an RPG, it was not conventional and instead of relaying on pure

WTF! I was just thinking today how I enjoyed this manga back when I was a teenager and wondering what had become of it. Well, here you go. I’m gonna have to dig up my volumes and give it another go.

Count me in on the people who started (re)playing FNV recently. Wonder if it’s because we’re so close to the apocalypse we feel we need to start getting mentally ready?

Factorio is one of the best games ever made. Simple as that. Ok, maybe that’s arguable, but it is definitely one of the best management games in gaming history, and that’s a fact.

I always pick Waluigi in the Mario Party games he’s in.

I’m not particularly fond of platformers, but I just wanted to point out that there’s this particular one called Downwell that I find truly outstanding, and if anyone here hasn’t played it, then they’re missing out.

Alright, so we actually might not be in the darkest timeline after all...

This is one of the best JRPGs ever made, and arguably one of the best games ever made. The story and setting are insane, the art design is beautiful, there are hundreds of quests, dozens of unique characters. My only gripe with the original was that the HUD was atrociously big and bothersome. The enemies’ labels were

Why Metroid Zero over Fusion? Zero is ok, but its just a remake, and the story was rather bland compared to Fusion. I haven’t played Zero in a while though, so I might not be remembering it for what it really is.

The AI in 6 must be one of the worst of all the series. It’s my only gripe with this game. I mean, let’s face it: CIV games aren’t particularly known for having good AI. But while in earlier entries the AI’s stupidity was somewhat masked by the game design, in 6 it’s very obvious how stupid and exploitable the AI is.

Isn’t it pronounced like that character from LoL called Xayah?
