Not only did I feel the exact same way when I read the headline, I go through a similar period of confusion when I read about beefs between musicians.

Maybe. But only because they’re far worse than anything that went down between Wilde and Pugh. Women are judged more harshly than men, including by women, but women don’t like to admit to it either.

I enjoyed this far too much.

If they go to a Jeep dealer and are able to buy a Wagoneer that fits their desires and budget, I don’t think they’ll mind much.

Exactly, the Germans especially are FAR worse.

Everything you say makes sense, and I can’t disagree with any of it.

If you’re popular enough to attract the attention of the organization, wouldn’t that popularity, in most cases, also attract the sponsors?”

If the worst you can say about a person in a particular situation is “Some combo of naivete and greed made her fall for an obvious fraudster,” I’m personally still going to feel some sympathy for that person (I don’t really care much about misuse of company credit cards, that’s between her and the company).

On top of that, the Hornet is unlikely to poach Tonale sales. The number of (non-enthusiast) people considering a Dodge who would ALSO consider an Alfa Romeo are probably in the single digits.

Nice chatting with you as well. Great write-up. If you like this particular topic, I would suggest checking out Slam Dunk. Its a early 90's sports anime that really congeals all things Shonen of its era. But its depiction of Akagi as one of several black stereotype/tropes is always done with reverence, but possibly

I think its worth pointing out that there is a difference between being coded as something because of the way the story frames them versus the way they are translated and voiced. (It looks like people have mentioned this in the thread, but I want to sound smart too.)

If there’s anything you can take to the bank about Republican “Christians,” it’s that they wouldn’t know the first thing about Christianity, and if Jesus actually came back they would personally chase him out of the country or nail him to the cross.

Not having a permanent address closes a lot of doors, “a year or two of rent” is pretty major.

The main difficulty with getting yourself out of being homeless is having an address, having clean clothes, and being able to shower and groom yourself. $10k would give someone the chance to do all three for the 3-6 months it would take to find a new job. Most homeless are not chronic so.

Yes, I think the point was that this was as exposed as Gus was willing to be. He was willing to subtle suggest that David might come to his house and try the wine that David had talked about. When David said he hoped Gus would tell him what the wine was like when he tried it, Gus took that as a rejection of his offer.

They actually teamed up in the TV movie finale to that wonderful series, so this was a reunion of sorts for the two Mikes (Kellerman and Giordello). Interestingly, this review doesn’t even touch on the fact that Gus was openly flirting with David the waiter, confirming a suspicion many of us had long assumed (and one

Love this reply! It actually ahs the details needed to answer my somewhat sarcastic question and is realistic about how gamestop is a zombie company.

a lot of words to say, the market is a rigged corrupt joke.

Their ultimate goal is to shutter the stores and go to an online model to prop up the stock price.

First off, thank you for the in-depth analysis.

Second... I now understand what it’s like when I explain something historical to someone with only a very basic understanding of the area around the questions and so much info flies at them that it’s almost drowning. LoL
