Here’s the thing, though: Simone doesn’t have a “mental” issue to deal with, here. She got a case of the twisties (a real physiological condition) and she knows that if she tried to compete, tried to focus on what she was doing, and had all the training space she could get (like a foam pit), she still would not have

On the music front, I say unto you verily: your taste is subjective. I’ve only heard a few LNX songs, they weren’t my favorite things, I loved Frank Ocean’s Lonny Breaux Era (She Won’t Say Hello is in my all time top ten), even if I thought his last album was solidly mediocre and a bit boring. That, however, is my

Oh, I’m not saying that GPUs shouldn’t be able to handle 99% usage.  I’m just pointing out that if a card is consistently at 99%, you can’t assume that means you’re getting your money’s worth.

Paying for vacations with credit cards is basic financial advice, since many cards offer things like travel protection in case something goes wrong (though again, I agree Shane/Shane’s mom should’ve disputed the charges with the resort first, not the credit card company/bank - I just think it’s not worth fighting

Is that Diamond and Silk’s nephew, B. Dazzle?

I think the best way I’ve heard of describing it is “This all seems pretty interesting, but why should I care?”

This is such a great comment. I don't even care about EVE, but the economic analysis is fascinating.

How would they account for the fact that, in 2 different scenarios, one of the main characters (either Michael or Trevor) could’ve been dead?

Here’s another one...

Admittedly a lot of these kinds of opportunities for people does come down to luck, but honestly thinking that any average person in the same position with the money to do it would’ve ended up with the same result is outright stupid. Chalking everything he accomplished to nothing but luck only shows you can’t separate

A bunch of money marks pumped its value thinking they were sticking it to the man.

Activision was going under until he bought it with his buddies. People keep seeming to forget that he has been around Activision from day one. Look, I am definitely not defending him, but he has managed to make money in this industry for decades. With a company, that for all intents and purposes was a shit developer.

I definitely should have picked up on the cultural aspects of the “trying to assimilate into a culture that despises you” subtext since it isn’t exclusively the purview of the queer experience. People are constantly dealing with a general hostility to outsiders, or wading into the middle of a culture war where they

Nope, not what I said. Queer kids are not creepy. Adults who impose their own wishes on someone else’s story are creepy, especially if the author of the story says, “hey, that’s not what I’m writing about” and the person leans on their own intepretation of “the subtext” to continue to hijack the story or the

I’m so sick of seeing people say idiotic things like “the only times that Tesla has made a quarterly profit was due to financial machinations (the selling of energy credits and Bitcoin) rather than making and selling cars.”

Going from an ND Miata with beefed up suspension that I’ve got to wring out to get moving quickly to a stock Mustang GT with endless torque, I can confirm that it can be very easy to go very fast without realizing it. On smooth roads, it was like flying on a cloud.

I’m quite confident that if this was the other way with the weighted grades improperly tallied for class rank you would complain that the rules were changed mid stream. If the school wants to use weighted grades for class rank they simply need to change the handbook.

First, regarding the missing grades — that is smoke being blown up the ass. They were added in after calculations were made, so did not effect were students ended up in final placement. And, they did not change the final course grade. The missing grades were due to a teacher error in not submitting some paperwork.
