Rockstar.

It was 9 years between Red Dead Redemption 1 and 2.

It’s currently going on year 8 since GTA V was released.

In between that time (from the release of Red Dead Redemption until now), we’ve only had two other games that weren’t remasters: L.A. Noire (which was a joint production with Team Bondi), and Max Payne 3

I know I’ll catch some heat, but I’ll throw in another.

The Dark Knight Rises.

Not to defend the boyfriend, because even I think he did something if not illegal, at the very least nefarious, but there’s almost no benefit to talking to the police in this situation. There’s far too many ways for his words, even ones which are innocuous, to be used against him.

If she’s dead, he’s suspect #1. If

Are you surprised that in this day and age, people will do stupid shit for a bit of notoriety?

Just because a hoax fails doesn’t mean it’s not a hoax.

It got this story written about it, after all.

As I see it, he’s mad because his wife is so health conscious that it bleeds over onto him (he’s a natural free spirit, as shown by his eagerness to do just about anything at the resort, such as cliff jumping, taking the drugs, joining Jessica and Ben in the hot tub), but he puts up with it because he loves her.

However, when David E. Kelley hits, it’s a home run.

Goliath and Mr. Mercedes (at least the first season), are fantastic.

Damn. Beat me to the punch, since Gramatica was the first name who came to mind.

This is Bill Gramatica, a former NFL kicker, who was celebrating a field goal he made (not a long one, either, only 42 yards, nor one that won the game) by jumping up and down, and he ended up his tearing his ACL.

There’s plenty of others, but you’d be amazed the injuries that professional athletes can get doing

You’re right on everything. I’ve actually thought about the whole anti-vaxx, vaccine hesitancy thing, and I think I’ve got it licked.

It’s not about research, or waiting for FDA approval, or caring about the side effects, or any of the “explanations” or “rationales” that are proferred. Not at all. In actuality, it’s a

I responded to one of your other replies acknowledging the empty container. However, that was found after they pulled him over for speeding, meaning that at no point prior to pulling him over did they suspect him being drunk, which tells me that his driving, aside from the speeding, was good enough to not elicit that

I can’t believe I have to argue this.

The police need this thing called evidence to make stops and arrests. They can’t just assume that wrongdoing is afoot. That’s a fucking good thing, especially for someone like me, a black man, whose people have a rather long and sordid history of being targeted by the authorities

Show me where the cop had body cam footage. I’ve yet to see it. Even still, it’s just speeding. Civil infraction, a fine, points on your license, you go home.

Again, you’re arguing against things I didn’t say. At no point in ANY of my responses did I say the pursuit was uncalled for. I said if the goal of the pursuit

It’s badly worded, but the heir to the throne being referenced is Charles, not Andrew.

It’s intimating that all of the scandals are making it difficult for Charles’ presumed ascension once Elizabeth II dies. Andrew is rather far down the succession, since he’s behind Charles, William, George, Charlotte, Louis, Harry, Ar

Counterpoint: being charged with a crime doesn’t mean you committed the crime. We have an entire judicial process to adjudicate guilt, of which being accused/charged is merely the first step.

Further, having an open container in the car doesn’t mean you’re actively drunk. In an alternate scenario where none of this

People speed all the goddamn time. Go on any highway and you’ll find 9/10 people speeding. So get out of here with the pearl clutching about a driver speeding (which, again, no proof of aside from the words of the cops).

I’m not defending the driver not complying with the police, or pulling off. Nowhere did I do that.

Yeah. It’s telling that their initial statement didn’t involve something to the effect of, “We pulled the driver over due to his driving erratically, swerving in and out of lanes, and our suspicion that he was DUI.”

They said, outright, they pulled him over for speeding. And as you said, him being drunk was a little

The intent, in this case, doesn’t particularly matter.

As someone in a different thread stated (and what I and others could intimate based upon simple logic), but the state of Georgia has guidelines concerning police pursuits, and when certain techniques such as a PIT maneuver should be used. One of the clear times it s

You’re exactly right, and it’s astounding how many people, such as Cheap-Bastard, can’t understand this simple reality.

Looking at every situation and assuming it’s the worst-case scenario leads to people making decisions based on confirmation biases, which may or may not be correct in the end, but cannot logically be

You’re right.

If the driver was alone, I’m okay with the PIT maneuver, even though it’s risky as all hell.

With kids in the car, and not knowing whether or not they’re wearing seat belts? The PIT maneuver should’ve automatically been off the table. Even if the driver was drunk, driving erratically, and speeding, it’s
