And if they are named something like Meng Yao, that means they’re evil or support the big bad.

I imagine he’s not saying that European-derived names are the “normal” ones (and I agree with you), but using Shang or Chang or Chen is indeed lazy. It’s never Jinping or Zi Han, for example. It’s similar to how in movies Asian women characters are frequently named ‘cute’ names like Kim or Mae, never something like…
Dunno, you frequently seem confused

You know what would bring more people back to theaters.... Cheaper tickets and food prices.
On the rare chance I go to a theater it’s because I want the cinematic experience of a massive screen and sound. Think Hateful Eight.
I agree with your last paragraph. There’s not much that makes me want to go to a theater for a movie instead of watching it at home. The only thing I can think of is a movie that needs the theater experience, like Top Gun: Maverick. Or something that I want to see as soon as possible, which isn’t much.
I went to Alamo Drafthouse once (for the first time) last year and I honestly didn’t get the hype. Ordering food while watching a movie is inconvenient. Eating food while watching a movie is ok depending on the movie (this was The Bob’s Burgers Movie, so I don’t think missing a couple minutes of the action was a big…
I think it’s really cool that you have retained the naivety of a small child in thinking that way.
You can spend $50 on two tickets, popcorn, drinks and candy.

Man, right-wing humor is some sad shit.

Reminder, the problem isn’t the nepo babies.
I think that “becoming” is a term for the distant past, however, like, pre-1850 past. The Civil War was a result of snowflaky-ness, that was termed “States’ Rights”. (the right to keep groups of humans enslaved, mostly, but not entirely, based on skin color.)
Are we becoming the snowflakes?”
Nothing says protecting our kids by making them think they got their favorite teacher fired. Way to go assholes.
This falls into the realm of Rep Gaetz (Mr. 17 isn’t too young to take across state lines) remarking on his opposition of establishing a mass shooting notification, noting that it’d be annoying because it’d be going off 24-7.
She’s only 51. Compared to the last two dotards, that’s pretty young. Not that Haley has any chance tho.
