I played Rainbow Six Vegas 2 on MLG and they banned use of C4 but for no reason other than some people don't like getting blown up and in that case its BS to restrict an item because someone is not skilled enough to avoid it.

It make no sense to me to have restriction on item made in the game . The only reason i can think of is a bunch of cry babies getting butt hurt cause they got blown up. You could also glitch out of the map on Rainbow Six but the bullets would not go through the invisible wall luckily.
