Believe me when I say it’s crossed my mind. One service manager, “Well, you can always bring it back and I’ll have my mechanic drive it again. But I cannot fit you in for another month.”

I hear it! Pretty frustrating.
I have the short shifter installed as well. There’s a ton of play from left to right as well. There are some aftermarket fixes, but I’d still like the dealer to acknowledge the issue. A camera will be a must it sounds like.
I’ll look into it.
Sounds like a very similar set of circumstances. What was the diagnoses?
Yeah I have. I’m not the only one with the problem and it sounds like it’s an issue with shifter linkage. I think some older models had similar issues. Since the car is still under warranty, I’d like for Subaru to acknowledge and solve the problem rather than look for an aftermarket sollution.
Along with a bigger spoiler, coffee can exhaust and a fridge full of Monster built into my glove department.
Yeah. I’ll have to get a friend to ride along with me and film it. Good to know tht it’s worked for you in the past.
Yeah that seems like my only option at this point. By Subaru rep, do you mean the saleman that sold me the car or someone that works for corporate?
My 2005 never had the issue, but this one has done so about 10 times.
I’m going through an issue with my 2015 WRX popping out of gear when it’s in first and I’m going slow down hill or over speed bumps. It happens with inconsistent regularity. I’ve taken it to three seperate dealers and none can replicate the issue so they refuse to fix it. IDK what the next step is.
My 2015 WRX is extremely uninspiring compared to my previous rides: 2005 WRX and 1991 MR2. I’m constantly searching for cars to replace this snoozefest of an automobile. Compared to my 2005 WRX it feels better constructed and engineered., has more HP out of the box, but yet, I feel like I’m driving an Outback....
