I was confused about that too: “Limited drama series that were previously considered Daytime will now transition to the Primetime competition.” The Daytime Emmys have had limited streaming series for a while now, which have been clear online soaps (often made up of folks from the various canceled network soaps) but

One Life to Live went off the air almost a decade ago, but the other daytime soaps will still be in the Daytime Drama category: “the Daytime Drama categories will remain in the Daytime competition and be redefined to include “any multi-camera, weekday daily serial, spin-off or reboot.” Although I’m not sure I

I think the idea was big-name actors to draw viewers, plus it’s a funny idea to watch different people play iconic characters (that worked in some cases and not in others). I do think it would’ve been better if original actors had been able to play other parts, though, like some did in earlier incarnations of this

I was sad that they picked an episode that didn’t include Kimberly

Logan did as well, right after Gerri. That’s how he accidentally replied to the wrong one!

So much for “no more private jets,” I guess!

Geri and Logan sent Roman congratulatory texts. He responded to the 2nd one (Logan’s) when meaning to respond to the first.

Yep. That profile was pretty disappointing. I read it earlier today and then felt somewhat reluctant to watch the episode as a result, but seeing Kendall and not Jeremy Strong washed it right away. Somehow.

Gerri texted him first, but then Logan did with “Good work kid”

This was cute, although I don’t understand all the closeups during huge ensemble numbers. Harry Connick, Jr., is certainly a lovely singer but he forgot to play a character arc at all.

Does he live there? I thought he just rented it out and stayed there for the party.

Yeah, I appreciated Willa evolving into just the right kind of awful for this world. She was too good for them before.

I thought the same thing — she looked mortified, repeatedly said she’s bad at giving gifts. I felt for her, but apparently Ken was right to be incredibly rude about an expensive gift someone picked out for him.

Well, he is suing Greenpeace? He’s not a wonderful guy.

My god, his “you win” at her made my stomach turn.

I was glad to hear Queen Sugar is renewed but it’s for a final season. The show always had such great atmosphere but in having to come up with new storylines has gotten a little gimmicky and/or repetitive. The elements are still there, so I think it should likely have a lovely conclusion.

Good one!

Seems like she sticks with what sells -- a pretty shrewd move. It’s not like a time will come in her career where the general public is entirely disinterested in songs by which to process heartbreak.

I can’t believe Axl Rose is still so hung up on Erin Everly! Why is Bono such a psycho, he’s been “without her” for decades and still on about it? 40 years later Bill Withers continued to find no sunshine due to her absence??

I’m not familiar with much of her work but it definitely strikes me as odd that “creates a work from feelings she was having about a person/situation that results in a song, not an essay” turns into “she’s obsessed” when it’s how almost all halfway decent works of art originate? I’m pretty out of touch so maybe I’m
