He was great in general, I think more people should be celebrating the beauty of his draining people with endless talk of weed, CBD, edibles, etc. And drone cameras!

This batch of episodes also started to tease the “they’ll all quit” ‘solution’ and then reversed course from that and now we’re sticking with either (a) they’re the only good ones or (b) they will fix it all!
I agree and was also very curious about why his kid was at day care while he himself was at home.
True, but if you’re tripping I guess it doesn’t take much to occupy your time!
Really more of a poor book-to-TV adaptation issue in this one, I think the book is aptly-titled. The show is just not working, but I’m staying for the performances (and the weird shit!).
But I think that’s kind of the point, that they’re married/related, yet still strangers. (A point that was far more interesting in the book where characters didn’t just constantly explain themselves.)
Definitely. Unlike the book, it just seems to mostly be a relaxing resort getaway for the uber-wealthy.
I stopped reading the review when it started to reveal plot points that come after what’s been released, but I agree with the part I could read! It’s a damn good show, and Selena Gomez is good. I had no idea who she was other than a familiar name (“guess that’s a famous young person?”) and she’s impressive here. Also…
Yes, Shane is completely unreliable as a partner (in love or business) but she’s a very non-judgmental friend. She will sleep with her best friend’s girl, but she will also take the heat for that.
Just finished it. Bit rude of them to call the finale “The Answer” and show us so little about what actually happened.
None of this is the case in this show, I’m confused what show you’re talking about?
I really do want to know what happened to Tasha, I find myself endlessly resenting the major people who get forgotten in their history. She was also certainly my favorite of Alice’s pairings over the years.
One the one hand, I never understand why in these “getting too drunk while failing to get other person drunk” plots, the person never just gets themselves non-alcoholic drinks. On the other hand, we got Drunk Amy and Drunk Rosa.
Holy crap the acting in this episode. The teen guy was god awful, the Cyrus sister was god awful, Cindy Crawford’s daughter somehow got worse since the last time we saw her. Just embarrassing. At least the mothership has a nice repertory of mostly excellent performers to make it fun to watch them be ridiculous when…
“seriously, how the hell did she work there and at the law firm at the same time?” -- and wasn’t she allegedly in law school, too??
I guess this means no regular coverage?
I didn’t think it got really good until about the halfway point. Obviously can’t speak for everyone, but I’d recommend sticking with it.
I think so too, as evidenced by the show getting better and better throughout the course of the first season. I absolutely thought after the first two episodes that the premise was cool but couldn’t sustain itself, but I actually thought it was far better as it went along. I have high hopes for next season.
I quite agree with all of this and really loved those first two episodes. I’m foolishly hoping that the 2 separate story arcs this season lets the first one stay small like this without getting too batty.
I have to imagine she’ll be one of the pale ones if she takes the pill.
