I agree that this season wasn’t as enjoyable as the others, it felt like a little a bucket list of things to check off rather than a well-structured narrative arc. The depressing part was how much I couldn’t help but feel like they thought “well, we won’t ever be able to tell these kinds of stories with these kinds of

Seems like maybe they should be calling the institution out and that should be the headline, but sure, I guess a teenager is easier?

But we don’t know how old she was when she was murdered, do we?

My understanding is that the front half of this Pose season was more Canals/Murphy/Falchuk and that Mock/Our Lady J had more control in the back half, but who knows really.

But they weren’t framing it as marriage equality in this episode. They were talking about the principle that it was legal for men to marry women. Elektra even said commitment ceremonies were fine for their gay brethren but not good enough for trans women in straight marriages. (Gee thanks, Elektra? But I think that

I didn’t watch Glee but yes, it’s certainly reminiscent of some of the random about-faces in AHS. (My context for Ryan Murphy is basically AHS and ACS... but also 9-1-1? Or is he not a writer on that? I’ve always been confused about that one.)

That’s true, I don’t recall if they ever said Erin’s age. The reunion was in 2017 (why that family needed a special reunion is beyond me, they were in each other’s faces all day every day), but we don’t explicitly know the show took place in 2021 or how far in to John preying on Erin the actual conception was.

I’d actually say the first 2 seasons are the worst seasons. It gets better, and was fun at the time in a very safe, break-no-boundaries, comforting way. Doesn’t really hold up. (And also probably not a “oh I finally saw an episode and it was funny!” kind of show, since the character development over time is what got

Didn’t Episodes even have a Friends reunion storyline in it where the only other actor who showed besides LeBlanc was the dude who played Gunther or was that a weird fever dream?

I felt similarly. They had celebratory moments that illustrated how much they meant to each other as family, rather than this sort of “they won 100 million dollars!” fantasy. I feel like there could be a better balance of wish fulfillment and joy that feels more honest. I understand the function of the former, of

She probably will. It would be too hard to ever meet anyone else.

So sad because in this scenario there were choices (and there aren’t always!) and they seemed to pretty much go with the worst one for DJ

It’s really a cruel environment to raise a child in. Your brother killed your mom and your dad raped her! Let’s go visit them in prison! (And dad will be out before long, nobody gets a very long sentence for rape/incest, unfortunately. And he’d get a not-awful plea deal for covering for his son.)

He was quickly cleared of the rape/impregnating part

1. John talked Billy into it because Billy “had no one,” because the family needed to be protected and Billy has no partner or children and John convinced him it was better for everyone if Billy took the fall. Lori did commit a crime, but I think it’s one that Mare understood even if she wouldn’t allow it.

And then lie about it in a murder investigation!

Speaking of which, I do feel like we were a bit deprived of Erin’s dad in the finale.

They had special burner phones

Yeah, I didn’t find it a cheap twist at all, they’d been planting the seeds for a while and a lot of the general predictions about it included Ryan as a probable suspect.

I still have Frank-related questions, it seems odd that he was providing supplies and support for his best friend’s bio-kid without knowing it at all. But I guess we’re not meant to ask.
