She doesn’t count!
She doesn’t count!
I do like this reviewer, but this reads like a review of a show that’s been on for a while and has patterns of both bad and good habits (“yet another dropped Nadja storyline?”). It’s... episode three! We barely know its strengths and weaknesses!
Well in theory that’s usually the reason but this show is chock full of great Broadway dancers. I want to watch them!
Particularly when it’s this network.
And I fear we’ll only get the younger generation of the AHS repertory company, since that’s more 1984 slasher-esque. But I want Sarah and Adina and Angela and Lily and Kathy!
This is appealing, to be sure, but I guess I’m going to have to give up my foolish hope that Murphy’s faith in Emma Roberts will ever end. She’ll probably be the lead.
And Ambrose kept looking over at Sabrina too. It was... uncomfortable.
I never understand why shows with dance sequences never give us more wide shots. I want to see what the damn choreography looks like as a whole!
Yeah, Jane is usually an asshole and rarely seems to be called on it (and is in fact often coddled for the very things she’s an asshole about). I’m not so sure they know how often this is happening.
Honestly I wasn’t too worried since they made it about her period in the very next scene. I knew they weren’t going to do a “first period” story and a “serious injury” story in the same episode.
I think I’ve lost my mind because I guess I missed No Limit entirely — my DVR must not have picked it up, it sounds entirely unfamiliar. If an episode of Better Things airs and there’s no Danette review, did it really make a sound?
Agreed. I worry that the shortage of comments will make the reviews go away but sometimes I just can’t think of anything!
I thought so too
I know. Still odd to me, but clearly not to anyone else so okay!
No, I just meant the scene where we first see her as a mother. Where she’s delivering dialogue calmly like a human instead of Gretchen’s usual screeching.
Fair. I think we saw growth in 3 of the main 4. I just thought the extent of the growth was a bit exaggerated (other than Edgar — I thought we did see most of his onscreen), and then with the supporting cast we saw virtually none at all (other than Paul no longer being an MRA or... something).
Huh. I feel like I’d have 18 people tops on my list. Isn’t it just sort of obnoxious after a certain age to ask people to spend as much money as it takes to attend a wedding? I mean I have a ton of friends from over the years that I still keep in casual touch with but I wouldn’t dream of asking them to bother with my…
I was confused about there being no follow-up to that. I guess not as much time passed as I’d thought?
Thanks for letting me know! I have been told many times on this website when I have criticisms of the show that I should die, so I’m glad that trend is over.
“Jimmy and Gretchen blowing off their wedding was their last childish act.”
