The game was art. But some art is not for all people. I for one, HATED SOTC.

@bowen13: You can ignore the mythos setup by # 2. This is a prequal anyhow, but I'd rather pretend that # 2 didn't exist.

@Adhominem: I've tried to kid myself that what you said is the case.... but it's not. I use pirated software, but don't feel good about it. And the stuff I really like (games, that keep me interested after a few days), I wind up buying in order to reward the creators. There is too much crap out there I won't

My prayer.... that the new SOCOM will regain the glory days of Socom 1 & 2. Now THAT would blow COD off the charts. Fast paced, mission oriented, geared for teamwork, and beautiful graphics for it's time (actually, I still think Socom 2 looks better than modern games in some aspects).

Is that the standard textures for the PC version (given full detail), or a mod? Textures look great, but I'm comparing against my experience with the PS3 version.

FOr the cost, why not get a laptop?

@smi1ey: THANK YOU - good to hear someone agree with me. When I want to move around, I'll go outside and do stuff. I have ZERO interest in waggle controls, etc... outside of drunken nights of playing wii sports with friends.

Are they providing them porn?

Wasn't there already a re-release as the "Kilrathi Saga"?

Hmmm.... I'm worried.

This is a definite wait until some better party games are released. But certainly on my "to buy" list.

I never played either game. (Well, SotC once for 10 minutes and didn't 'get it').

@Venix: They weren't snipers. Pay more attention. The first 3 guys were manning a stationary mortar, the last guy on the ridge was a sniper hidden in the trees.
