My Dad just got a silver 2011 Honda Civic LX, pretty much the most standard car ever. But it is actually not bad, certainly just as good as the 2012, if not better.

The Accord V6 Hybrid was less concerned about fuel economy, hence its use of its V6 rather than the base inline 4. It also made more power and performed better than a regular V6. It was more about being interesting-ish than being a gas-saver.

Once again, when it comes to cables, Lifehacker falls short. Sadly, you failed to mention computers with S-Video out (which I have seen quite a few of) and of course for older TVs what to do (VGA to composite converter, etc.)
