I always hated them, not because they were terrible cars in their day, but because I thought they were incredibly ugly. Ugly in the front, ugly in the back. I presume you must have never been to court for anything. It’s a nightmare of time, money and stress that simply isn’t worth hassling over for smallish amounts. For the average person, it simply isn’t worth bothering. Large corporations, with 100s of lawyers on retainer, know this;  so they just keep on screwing…

Totally concur. These low level driver assist features are better suited to take over from you in an emergency rather than relying on the driver to be immediately ready to react to a confused AI. Rather than doing all the driving, let the AI handle emergency braking or an emergency pull-over if the driver passes out…

These were always cars to be ridiculed and nothing has changed. If you are desperate for transportation, or 87 years old, it’ll do.  

Not sure I’d call it a scam and I don’t really care if the patrons understand they’re basically getting screwed for the convenience of tiny, affordable portions. Can confirm, as I have been that idiot. Quite embarrassing and apparently, according to the attendant, it happens a lot. Hearing that didn’t make me feel any better about being a moron.  

That’s really cool, but extremely impractical for 99.99% of us. Always open to the elements, not to mention thieves. Seems like the kind of thing a sunny resort might buy or someone with a huge stable of cars. If anyone could truly daily drive this thing, then I salute them.
