To keep up w/ the Herbertucation, here’s a bit w/ Iron Maiden and a song called To Tame a Land which is about Dune, but couldn’t be called “Dune” b/c Frank Herbert wasn’t a fan of Iron Maiden or Heavy Metal, in general - therefore he rejected the proposal and the song had to be re-titled ‘Fuck Herbert To Tame a Land!’

For the 8 (or so) of you out there that aren’t familiar w/ Dune, check out the Thugnotes synopsis. (Seriously, he’s pretty good! )

Fuck the app. The mobile site works well enough for me. I don’t need that level of integration on my phone.

All this mention of Photon and no mention of the TV show??

Well then, yea - this scenario isn’t for you. I never claimed there wasn’t any value in something like this - just that for a lot of people, they already own something which is capable of this.

If by “these devices” you mean the mini-NES referenced in the article, they’d be really simple. If you mean other devices used to emulate consoles, there’s a “little” bit of work, but not too much. NES emulation isn’t too resource intensive, so you could use any decent Android tablet, old pc, Raspberry pi, etc.

My current laptop, a few of my older laptops, my htpc (built within the last 3 years) and my nvidia shield. NES emulation, at least for my non-picky needs, is completely fulfilled by these devices.

Not from me....not regarding NES games.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not knocking this; I realize there’s a market for it. I like it too, and wouldn’t hesitate to accept one if it were gifted to me, but, at least in my household, this just seems redundant.

Why would anyone “in the know” use this over an emulator which has been able to do this (at least for NES games) for like 20 years?

Relax! Don’t be a little f-word about it!

Amendment One, Two, Freddy’s comin’ for you!

Ahem! Beg to differ!

Man, you guys are such haters. No one is saying that he’s the best thing Germany has produced. That’s Dschinghis Khan, of course, and everyone knows that....
