As has been too often said, Sava seems to first think of the show he wants this to be, and then reviews against that, as opposed to critiquing the show based on what the show is trying to be, and seeing if it fails at that.

You forgot to mention he is Latino and gay. Joey is literally the worst human being in the world!

Please take your filthy DC comics term with you, good sir!

Hydra goons are there to be killed - its in the SHIELD handbook. Now, higher level threats aren't. You got to converse with them, have meaningful interactions.

I don't think they will hide Ward is dead - I think the issue is how he died and the timeline. Coulson leaving behind the hand "responsible" to me seems like an action done out of shame.

Well, bullets are sort of the standard killing method of our time, and have been for some time. Heck, joey is not only bullet proof but also knife proof - thought not 2X4 proof.

I expect him to fill the role of Hellfire in this story, and to meet the same end.

We weren't shown what he did after killing the assembled Inhumans. He appears to be on the lam.

While I agree the end result was clearly a set up for the "twist" everyone saw coming, it seemed like Coulson had not really made up his mind about whether to kill Ward or not until near the end.

Well, until it gets its hands on a really nice meatsuit.

So, it seems to chose to hazard the agents of shield tag on tumblr as well….it is a dark, and frightening place all around.

Well, Coulson being a nerd is a well established trait - of course he would think of one of the big movies of his childhood.

I think its an acknowledgement they are not to mention how Coulson killed Ward. I had no problem with it, but it would be in character for Phil to have some niggling doubt (beyond the fact his actions are why the big alien baddie was able to reach Earth).

I was also highly disappointed in the lack of action. There were some scenes they cut have shaved by half a second or so to give us more time for butt-kicking.

Well, my guess is he is The Hive, or some iteration of it. Personally I was hoping for him to be Gorgon, but he point is that there are plenty of comic book characters out there, many of them with far greater relevance to these three main plotlines that aren't those two.

Well, anyone with powers can dearm their opponents - Lincoln can lightning-bolt them out of people's hands, and Giyera can just take them from people.

Rubber bullets at close range work - as will stakes, blunt force trauma with non-metal objects, and electricity, fire, cold, etc.

What would be the point of making him either of those characters? Do they have much to do with SHIELD stories in general, or Inhumans, or the Secret Warriors? I mean, this is a show, but its also an adaptation of existing material and until now, all the comic characters they have introduced are connected to SHIELD

Illyria was a risk to learn from : ie. don't do it.

I guess the show has decided that for it to be personal, it has to be really personal.
