I was 12 when it came out and I loved it, I’ve seen it at least 10 times, but none of those came in the past 10 years. I can’t bring myself to rewatch it now in case it spoils it for me.

It should have just been called The Joker since that was obviously the more interesting character to Nolan
It’s fascinating to watch a show like this in the wake of Nathan For You, which was so clearly inspired by Ali G. Nathan Fielder’s approach, though, is so much more subtle, and while that works in peeling back the layers of humanity, one wonders if it would be as effective in the realm of politics.
This has got Peter Berg/Mark Wahlberg all over it. Good job Marky Mark has a track record of respecting people of Asian heritage.
“Why create something original when you can use existing IP?” might as well be the new Star Wars tagline. If they put in enough things from better films that people already like, maybe they’ll be too excited to notice the new films are bad.
I definitely am a “oh, a new Tom Cruise movie, let’s go” type and kind of agree - he’s just a professional and he does not give less than a 7/10, no matter what.
I’ve done some digging the character speaks English, German, French and Farsi.
Yeah bad phrasing on my part, I meant most of his lines were French (although as posted below it could be some Italian and Spanish and my ear is just hearing romance language and assuming it’s French.)
There’s definitely French and German - my French isn’t great so it’s possible there’s also Farsi and I’m not detecting it. The line Alex mentioned is definitely German though “Jeder versteckt sich hinter eine maske”
Farouk reverts to his native tongue
Oh come on, it’s not like she just tweeted ‘OMG Greta Gerwig is here’ - she live tweeted her every move.
Tweeting throughout a film is bad, violating someone’s privacy because they’re famous is worse.
There’s a few more from the same guy (Rick Polito) in these articles about the Wizard of Oz one.
Honestly, it’s a fun watch, and I say that as someone who hated the others.
I feel like Gamora is the only potentially reversible one - someone else will end up sacrificing themselves for the soul stone (Tony, Cap, maybe even Thanos himself) and it will bring her back.
Have you seen Transformers 5? Hopkins is clearly having so much fun hamming it up.
The Hulk one was weird although I guess he’s a fairly big draw, but I was really happy with the Thanos edit. Trailers are over-analysed to the point of stupidity now and I liked that they prevented people from spoiling the film for themselves/others.
Danny Pudi having a cameo is different to Tobias Funke existing in the MCU, to be fair.
