My dad had a black ‘56 T-bird while in college in 1959 when I was born. Ten days after that momentous date, his dad died and he inherited a 1958 model. Pretty nice pair of cars for a college sophomore (plus he had a 1946 CJ).

My mom bought the first iteration of the Turbo Regal, the 1978 model. Rochester Quadrajet with Turbo on the 231 v6. The lag was so fucking terrible that you couldn’t break the tires loose coming out of a puddle around a corner. It was a pig. Wish they had bought another one in the mid-80s.

They’ll need Caterpillar D-9s to bulldoze the corpses into the mass graves.
