11/22/63 is very good. The Stand is godlike. Beside that, I'd recommend most of his 70s ouvre, plus most of Dark Tower, It and Nightmare & Dreamscapes. The Stand is easily his best work.

Is this going to be a Lord of the Rings type thing or are they planning on trying to tell the whole story in one film? If so, I am not encouraged.

Honestly though, the fight for independence from their mother was the main throughline in season one as well. In fact, two of the brothers (the drug addict and the gay one) actually did strike out on their own, only to end up back with Smurf.
We're still waiting to find out how the heist at the naval base…
