Go to Tools>Clear Private Data. If that fails, I'd say a fresh re-install. Firefox itself is a really stable program, it's the crap that gets added that can cause problems.

Just got the new Macbook pro last week. It really is a beautiful machine, no overheating, fast as hell and pretty to look at from every angle. Unfortunately after one week of use, two pixels died within 2 hours of each other.
