Yamaha actually built boats, although power was by wind or Yanmar. Yamaha does make a line of jet boats to compete with Sea Doo that are Yamaha powered.

These seemed like good cars let down by poor marketing.  They might have sold better as Firebirds or possibly a new name. The GTO carries too much baggage and the equally obvious LeMans was already tainted by the Daewoo built Opel of the 80s.
