That's reasonable

1st gear, battery cars present a unique firefighting challenge because there’s no good way to put out a burning lithium battery short of dunking the car in a water tank. Bloviating in Congress won’t fix it the NFPA might.

It figures this happened in Clackastan, the Florida of Oregon. I’m disappointed there isn’t better footage of the crash. As a good human I am relieved the driver survived his stupidity to become a laughingstock. I will now harsh on Clackamas, although Salem is still the armpit of the state.

Most Unimogs are high speed tractors (for small values of high) . Their true value is what you can bolt on to the 3 point hitch and front PTO.  You can plow a field, stack hay bales, dig trenches and dozens of other jobs. It just won't get there fast because it's geared like a tractor. The exception are some later

I like your rubber chicken idea

I have concluded Dave Ramsey should be for entertainment purposes only and not investment advice. (yes it’s a paraphrase of a lottery warning)

I don't see the value in either a low spec Challenger or a Corolla.  Both are not all that fun and I  could buy a Mazda3 and have more fun, a nicer interior and a more distinctive car

I joke that Apple shut down the car because they couldn’t design it with a one button interface but I think the reality is they found out how hard making a car is. Car Play and iPhones is,a profitable and well understood business. Building a whole car with some level of self driving is like going from a Sopwith Camel

A couple of thoughts; some of my recent issues have been with metal building screws which will actually hold air for a long time because of the rubber washer, this leaves lots of time to go to the shop. The really bad one is tread separation.  I've had one older tire do that, fortunately parked in my driveway.  I've

Hitting obvious targets,  the Nissan Murano Cross Cabriolet and the BMW X6. Also the Mitsuoka Orochi and Citroën Ami 6.

Ad Block makes Jalopnik usable.  I run Blokada on my phone and uBlock Origin on Firefox at home.

Ignition interlocks were not totally stupid but deeply unpopular. Which is why they were only present in 1974 and quickly defeated. Of course interlocks were thought up by Joan Claybrook who was also responsible for the stupidest US “safety” standard, the 85 mph speedometer.

Nothing can redeem Crocs from eternal dorkiness.

Yes, I  plan to get the Dead Milkmen's Bitchin Camaro, that was driven up from the Bahamas

Emotionally a Landrover Defender and a Mini both OG versions. Intellectually a newish pickup to do work and an air cooled 911

There is a tiny grain of truth to the lore of GMC being tougher than Chevy. In the 50s and 60s GMC often used different engines from the medium duty line in light trucks but by the late 60s they were the same as Chevy to save $$

It appears I can fly Redmond to DC as cheaply as Portland to DC and I can fly Alaska instead of United. Now I just need dates

4th gear Apple canceled their car because they couldn’t figure out a one button interface.

Was he using GladOS for a GPS? “in 300 yards turn right and drive off a cliff, you stupid meat bag”

Reason 732 why air travel is shite. I'm looking at flying for the first time in a decade and dreading it.
