I remember seeing R8s and R10s on the street in the early 70s but then they all rusted or blew up. As a frame of reference I was in first grade circa 1971 and we were riding around in a Mercedes W108 not some French peasant’s ride, although my father did test drive a Citroën SM back in the day.

The funny thing is square tread tires (effectively car tires) are popular on sidecars because they don’t countersteer or lean and car tires have a bigger contactpatch and cost less.

I think both are overpriced since my just bought a 2005 Ranger for $1500. Granted it had one bad tire and the bench seat was in bad shape but one deep clean, two used tires and a seat cover later he’s still only out $2000 for a basic regular cab short bed.

yeah so a full picture needs to include North Vegas,  Strip, and airport prices with Wal-Mart as a control.

There were actually two model A, one before and one after the Model T https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Model_A_%281903%E2%80%9304%29?wprov=sfla1

On that note DKW is Das Kleine Wunder or the little wonder from an early motorcycle.

I dig a brewery poking fun at self important “overlanders”. Let’s hope someone has a sense of humor and posts a video of a,6 pack on their woof wack.

This list feels a little light. To throw out a few more, Volvo from the Latin “I roll” was going to be a line of SKF ball bearings before SKF decided to make cars instead. Saab, Daf, and Fiat are just acronyms. Nissan’s truck division UD is an abbreviation of Uniflow Diesel

Airside is a captive market. I’d like data for the price of Chex Mix in a store in a business or tourist area for each airport to get a sense of the markup. Vegas appears to be a massive price gouge others may be only 10-20% over 7-11

Would it have killed him to use landscape format? Also Danny McCaskill  could probably get on top of a Cybertruck without a ramp and do some sick stunts.

One does wonder what burnt Jet A does to the terroir.

The first door handle that attracted me was the pop out handle on the 1969 Pontiac Grand Prix. The ribbed button and chunky handle really stuck in my 4 year old mind. I’d post a photo but the button is broken.

An Irish judge may be more likely to listen to logic than a US judge.

That's the kind of signal controlled environment I'm talking about.

This is as surprising as a rainy day in Seattle. Autonomous driving on surface streets is very hard and is chasing a pipe dream. Autonomous operation on an Interstate highway is only slightly harder than a driverless train, which is 1920s level technology. We should push car development towards highway driving where

I'm with the Zeitgeist,  ND because it’s within a few, thousand of a brand new Model 3.

I was amused to see Joplin Missouri on the list. We lived there for a,while and had an epic flight to New York in the early 90s. At the time Joplin had two carriers US Air (I think) and TWA, we were supposed to fly US Air but their plane had a mechanical in Springfield so they put us on the TWA flight to St Louis,

Tweakers who steal copper wire aren’t planning ahead or doing the math before impulsively stealing cables. They also get short changed by selling to Ea-Nasir. (couldn’t resist the reference)

Nice alliteration, it’s definitely more tripping on the tongue than
